For a number of years MRC have supported The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT). This charity set in the heart of the Cheshire countryside is the perfect place for terminally ill, disabled and disadvantaged children of all abilities to play, laugh and simply enjoy being children.
This year was the first CAFTFest, a 5-day festival welcoming families from all over the North West. I had volunteered to help, and got the enviable job of transforming into ‘Rosie’ to accompany ‘Bobby’ in entertaining the children. Lots of high fives, hugs and questionable dancing followed!
Despite some initial trepidation, and once I decided just to throw myself into it, it turned into a hugely enjoyable day. I was truly humbled to see first-hand the enormous good that this wonderful charity does. You only had to see the looks on the children’s and their families faces to appreciate this.

Roll on next years CAFTFest!
