Once your client’s case has been completed, the paginated medical records are scanned as a text searchable (OCR’d) PDF file allowing for annotation. They are then uploaded to our portal together with all other related documentation for you to access via an encrypted secure link sent to you by email.
We appreciate the huge benefits of working with electronic records but also understand that some solicitors, experts and barristers still prefer to work with hard copies. With this in mind, we are happy to work with you to help find the best solution.
The MRC Portal is a secure file sharing system with access to download, forward and view digital files and information from anywhere in the world.
This means that you can work from home seamlessly and have a choice of sending and receiving your records electronically or in the post, maintaining the ease of access for both options.

We comply with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and are certified through the government’s Cyber Essentials scheme. The MRC Portal operates with a service that is ISO27001, Cyber Essentials and PCIDSS certified and all data remains stored within UK Data Centres.
